Township of Spring Permit Information

Permits

Permits are issued by the Engineering Services Department. Applicants must abide by all regulations, restrictions, and conditions of the permit at all times. Permits will not be issued until the Township of Spring approves the application.

Permit application forms in PDF format may be downloaded from this website. An Adobe Acrobat Reader® is required to view and print a downloaded permit application.
. Note that drawings/sketches showing dimensions, setback measurements, etc., should be submitted to the Township via fax, email, regular mail, or in person.

A minimum timeframe of fifteen (15) working days is required for residential permit applications and thirty (30) days for the Zoning Officer to process any zoning applications. Incomplete or unsigned applications will not be processed/approved. Upon approval, a signed, dated permit will be issued to the applicant. Building permits are valid for six (6) months from the issue date.

Building Permit Are required for just about everything except painting and papering. If you are doing any of the following YOU NEED A BUILDING PERMIT: putting up a shed or fence, building new or adding on to existing structures, adding walls, and tearing down buildings. If you are not sure please call (610) 898-9142 .
Driveway Permit Is required if you are replacing/installing sidewalk parallel to the street or driveway ramps. If you are not sure please call 610-678-5393 ext. 113. Note: Trees and bushes are not permitted to be planted between the street and the sidewalk.

Plumbing Permit Is required for any of the following: hooking up to the sanitary sewer system, installing plumbing fixtures in kitchens, bathrooms, hot water heaters, air conditioners. If you are not sure please call 610-678-5393
Pool Credit Application If you install a pool or already have a pool you are eligible for a yearly waste water credit for adding water to that pool.
Property Transfer Applications Is required prior to the transfer of Title of Residential Properties. Please fill out the application and submit it along with the $100.00 fee to the Codes Department to start the inspection process.
