Township of Spring Parks & Recreation Department

Shiloh Hills Ribbon Cutting
Monday, June 28, 2010

Shiloh Ribbon Cutting Celebration

The highlight of the Department’s year has been the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Phase I of Shiloh Hills Park.  Twelve years after the first parcel of land was acquired for the park, Township and School District officials gathered with approximately 90 residents on a very hot and humid June evening to celebrate the completion of the first phase of Shiloh Hills Park.  After the ceremony, Department staff led guests on a guided hike through part of the trail system.  In addition to the approximately 3 miles of trails, Phase I includes the Environmental Education Center, a restroom facility, a multi-purpose field, parking areas and the infrastructure necessary to support these facilities (electric, water, sewer, etc.).  The development of Phase I was partially funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and a donation from the Wilson Junior Soccer Club.  A map of Phase I is available at the Parks and Recreation Department Monday through Friday.
