- All alarm devices which communicate a warning that a crime, fire,
or other emergency situation warranting immediate action by the
Township Police or local fire companies are covered under Ordinance No. 210.
- All alarm devices which are currently in use and those which will
be installed in the future must meet the requirements of the alarm
ordinances Ordinance No. 210.
- All alarm devices must meet the operational standards set forth
in the alarm ordinances Ordinance No. 210.
- Any person owning, leasing, maintaining property, or a person
occupying a premise in Spring Township with an alarm device must register with the Township Police Department; his name, address, location of alarm, and the names of two (2) individuals who have keys to the premises of the alarm device and are not residing at the alarm device location.
- Any change in the registration information shall be corrected
with the Township Police Department within five (5) days of such
change.
- False alarms emanating from an alarm device shall be subject to
an administrative fee by the Township during any calendar
year as follows:
- First through Third false alarms...................................No

- Fourth through Sixth false alarms................................$50.00
- Seventh and Subsequent false alarms..........................$100.00
- Alarms set off by electrical storms, or like circumstances, will
not be included in determining an administrative fee.
- The Alarm device registrant will be notified by the Township Police
Department, either by regular mail or in person, after a third false
alarm has occurred in the same calendar year.
- Beginning with the fourth false alarm in any calendar year, the
Township Police Department will notify the alarm device registrant
that an administrative fee is due. The notification will list the
date and time of the fourth and subsequent false alarms and the
amount due.
- Failure of the alarm device registrant to pay the administrative
fee on or before the due date shall subject the alarm device registrant
to further penalty.
