Sergeant Edward Makosch is a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps.
Since 1998, Ed enjoyed working for the Township of Spring Police Department in many different capacities. His interest in competitive shooting led him to be the assistant firearms instructor and the Township of Spring armorer. Ed is also the supervisor of the Field Training Program for new officers to the township police department, a hostage negotiator with the recently formed Berks County Emergency Response Team (BCERT), and a certified weigh master.
