Officer Mark McCreary is a combat veteran of the US Army having served between 1992 and 1998 as a Crew Chief aboard a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. He completed his tour of duty as a Crewmember Instructor. After receiving his Honorable Discharge, he first worked with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office as a Processing Agent.
Officer McCreary began his Law Enforcement career in 2000, when he became a Police Officer for the Mechanicsburg Borough Police Department. He completed his Act# 120 certification training at the Harrisburg Area Community College.
In 2007, Officer McCreary joined the Township of Spring Police Department where he started in the Patrol Division. Based on Officer McCreary’s distinguished aptitude for traffic safety and enforcement, he was selected for assignment in the Traffic Safety Unit. Since his assignment, Officer McCreary has achieved additional certifications in vehicle crash investigation and reconstruction. He is certified through the Federal and State Departments of Transportation to conduct commercial motor vehicle inspections. Officer McCreary has received extensive training in the enforcement of vehicle inspection regulations and is a PA Certified Inspection Mechanic. |
