Important Property Owner
Information:
Owners, occupants, or tenants are required to remove all snow and ice from sidewalks within Twenty
Four (24) hours after it ceases to fall. Snow
and ice that cannot be removed without injury to the sidewalks shall
be treated with salt, sand or other abrasive material. Snow should
not be thrown into the streets but piled at the curb line where
it will not impede clearing operations or traffic movement. Owners,
occupants, or tenants found not to be in compliance to the above
mentioned requirements could be subject to a fine and/or penalty. Snow & Ice Alert
Residents are urged not to shovel or blow snow onto or into
the street. Depending on the weather condition, the snow
shoveled or thrown on the street may not melt and dry and may
turn
to ice, thus causing a hazard. Note: During a significant snowfall,
15 inches or more, it may be difficult to push snow all the way
back to the curb line, but the attempt will be made. This process
may cause snow to fall onto the sidewalks. |
