Alan S. Kreider - Vice Chairman

Al Kreider Al Kreider is currently serving his 5th year of a 6 year elected term of office as Township Supervisor. Al previously served a 2 yr. appointed term as Supervisor in 1996 and 1997.

A 1976 graduate of Wilson High School, Al has not moved far from the nest. He lives on Reedy Road, next to his family’s farm where his parents still reside, with wife Valerie, daughter Hannah, border collies Maggie and Amber, and Gus, an 18 yr. old Jack Russell terrier.

Al keeps himself busy as the owner of Al Kreider Lawn Care and as a real estate agent with GMAC Real Estate Premier Network.

He serves on the Township Infrastructure Committee and Traffic Advisory Committee, is a Trustee of the Owls Sports Club and one of the founders of the Reedy Estates Development along with his brothers Steve and Mike.

Al describes himself as someone who tries to be proactive, think outside of the box when faced with a problem and look at comparative examples for answers.  Some of the items Al looks forward to addressing during the next two years of his term include: improving Township wide communications, the Township website, strive to have the Township be a leader by example for energy conservation and other environmental concerns, continue to tweak the Zoning Ordinance and work to reduce duplication of government services.

Of all the hats Al has worn over the years he says that he enjoys the duties of Township Supervisor most of all because it is a very exciting and challenging time to be involved with local government.  Al believes that the residents of Spring Township along with the dedicated employees, consultants and Supervisors all working together, can keep Spring Township as one of the best places to live.
