Chair Yoga 
An extremely gentle form of yoga for anyone wanting the many benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Students will experience postures and breathing exercises using the support of a chair. Develop greater mobility, increased range of motion and ease of movement in everyday activities.

Historic Theorem Stencil Painting – #2377
Participants will learn the early American Decorative Technique of using a series of stencil overlays to achieve the look of a free-hand, painted, traditional design. While you practice, you will also learn the history of this Colonial era artform. This 8″ x 10″ portrait is a replica of a Williamsburg design.

Intro to Bonsai: A Journey into the Art of Miniature Trees – #2379
Bonsai (“tree in a pot”), is a centuries-old Asian tradition that combines horticultural skills with artistic expression. In this hands-on workshop you will learn essential Bonsai techniques, design and styling, proper potting and re-potting procedures and Bonsai care and maintenance. Participants should purchase a juniper plant from a local nursery and bring it to class. Plastic Bonsai pots will be available for purchase from the instructor.

Victorian Flower Pressing – #2386
Grown in the instructor’s garden, participants will receive an assortment of live pressed flowers to create a 5″ x 7″ picture. This new “sit and get fit” class uses low impact exercises, gentle yoga stretches for flexibility, your own body resistance to build strength and easy rhythmic movements to increase stamina and balance. A Matter of Balance Classes – #2366
Instructors from Berks Encore will help you to reduce the fear of falling through fall prevention education and management. Participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make home modifications to reduce falls and learn low impact targeted exercises to increase strength and balance. Living Well with Diabetes Classes – #2368
