Slow Flow Yoga – #2302

An extremely gentle form of yoga for anyone wanting the many benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Students will experience postures and breathing exercises using the support of a chair. Develop greater mobility, increased range of motion and ease of movement in everyday activities.

Developed by Stanford University, this highly participative, six (6) week, evidence-based program helps individuals learn how to TAKE CHARGE in the management of their disease and overall health to lead active and fulfilling lives! Open to those with heart disease and their family members.

Tree Walk in the Park – #2303

Enjoy a summer evening stroll in the park and discover trees with Naturalist Kathy Grim. Learn to identify trees, discover interesting tree facts and explore Native American uses for trees – which tree makes the best canoes, furniture, arrow shafts, bows, tea and more

Healthy Steps in Motion – #2304

Developed by the PA Department of Aging, this exercise program is designed to build body strength, increase flexibility and improve balance. Program is led by a certified instructor. Open to people of all fitness levels ages 60+! No class on July 5th. Class will be on Monday, July 31st.

A Matter of Balance- #2305

Instructors from Berks Encore will help you to reduce the fear of falling through fall prevention education and management. Participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make home modifications to reduce falls and learn low impact targeted exercises to increase strength and balance.
