This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate!

Primary duties include, but are not limited to road and street repair, leaf collection, snow plowing, general grounds and facilities maintenance, grass mowing, trimming, and general repairs to Township buildings.  Must be willing to work overtime and respond 24/7 for emergencies if needed.

Minimum Requirements include: Excellent work history, HS Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of directly relevant experience, including performing a variety of maintenance tasks related to the duties of this position.  Prior experience in roads/street repair and maintenance is preferred.  Successful candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and be able to provide two (2) positive professional references from past employment.  Valid PA Driver’s License with good driving record required, CDL preferred.  The Township of Spring offers excellent comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent

Excellent opportunity for an experienced wastewater treatment plant professional with The Township of Spring, located near Reading in Berks County PA.

An exempt level supervisory position reporting to the Director of Public Works, the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent has overall managerial/administrative responsibility for our updated and expanded wastewater treatment plant and supervises plant employees on a daily basis.

Successful candidates MUST meet minimum requirements of:   3-5 years of relevant experience including the direct supervision of others.  BS Degree in related field (such as Engineering) is strongly preferred.  Candidates who possess an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.  Pennsylvania Class A or Class B WWTP Operation Certificate/License, Class E Collection and Conveyance System and WW Subclassifications of 1, 2, 3, 4, along with a valid PA driver’s license with CDL is required.
