Family Programs
These programs are open to adults with and without children.
Pre-registration is required for all programs and each person planning to attend these programs MUST be individually pre-registered.
All participants under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian pre-registered to attend with them.

Camping is perfect for family togetherness, learning about nature and exploring the outdoors. Naturalist Kathy Grim will demonstrate the ins and outs of memorable camping adventures. Learn camp site selection, fire starting, meal preparation, protecting provisions and more. Discover camping – a world of adventure awaits!

Join the Berks County Amateur Astronomical Society for this awe-inspiring astronomy program and take a close-up look at the night sky through BCAAS’ telescopes. It’s an opportunity to view the moon, planets, stars, nebulae and a galaxy or two! Bring your curiosity!

Step back in time with Benjamin Franklin as he shares his many scientific discoveries. There will be “behind closed doors” stories about the signing of the Declaration of Independence and of Ben’s escapades escapes in Paris during the Revolutionary War. It will be history with a dash of humor as Dr. Franklin serves up the wit and wisdom of Poor Richard’s Almanac.
